The fine white jade
breaks in on the darkness,
but as it drops in the water
tinkinling, it gazes longingly towards the moon.

Jade on the steps brings forth bright dew.
You're a long time dead.
Approach, sidekick, in your stockings!
But the river goes down, as energy through a curtain.
The tinkling of gem-pendants repeatedly looks towards autumn, and a change of the moon.

A bright dew gathers on the jade steps;
Long nights are coming, and the change to thick socks.
